Matt Breyer, owner of Breyer Construction & Landscape and , is forecasting a busier spring building season based on talks with industry leaders as well as retailers, distributors, and manufactures. This is great news for the remodeling industry and suggests that families feel confident in spending money on updating their homes, creating a backyard oasis, or replacing a deck that shows potential of being unsafe.
With deck inspections forecasted to be a growing need, NADRA has been developing the inspector-training programs with the American Society of Home Inspectors as well as national and international non-profits.
NADRA is also introducing the Consumer Product Awareness Campaign program, which lays out a set of industry standards for reviewing materials, starting with decking surfaces. Programs like this have done well in other related building material industries, and generally allow for the membership of that industry to have some say in policing themselves.
Matt highlighted these points and more in his article featured on Lumber Building Materials Journal. To read the complete article, you can find it here: https://www.lbmjournal.com/nadra-update-a-cpac-for-deck-surface-materials/
