We hope that you had a wonderful holiday with your friends and family! As we turn our attention to the holiday season, here is a brief update on what has been happening with Breyer Construction & Landscape, LLC.
A Word from Matt Breyer
“I just returned from Vienna, Austria, where I had the opportunity to speak at the Wood-Plastic Composites Conference on behalf of the North American Deck and Railing Association, where I addressed an international audience consisting of several hundred manufacturers, distributors, research scientists, and raw material suppliers. The focus of my conversation was on the need for an industry-led ‘Consumer Protection’ program, that would aid in protecting consumers from inferior products, while providing them the tools to better decide between quality decking materials based on their unique, individual needs, all while providing the manufacturers better industry feedback and improved warranty/liability protection. Vienna is a long way from Southeast PA, but this industry continues to grow and evolve- and it’s our intent to stay connected and focused on helping to make sure we are active and involved in the decking and outdoor living industry, and not simply passive participants.”

Tips of the Month
As we turn our attention to the colder months of winter, here are a few tips to keep in mind:
• Prep your home for winter now – Look over potentially vulnerable spots of your home now before the colder winter weather arrives. Make sure that your HVAC system is working correctly, and all exposed pipes are adequately insulated.
• Clean off your deck – If any trees are living near your deck, you have likely seen a fair number of leaves fallen onto it. Take the time to sweep these and other organic debris off of your deck before any snow arrives. If left unattended, this debris could invite mildew and rot.
